Adventure

Under the Jolly Roger
L. A. Meyer

After setting almost half of the town of Boston on fire, Jacky Faber ran to the docks yet again. This time to be put on a whaling ship known as the Pequod. When the voyage is over she sets off to find her one true love James Emerson Fletcher, but when she arrives at his home his witch of  mother tells her that Jaimy wants nothing to do with her. However Jacky gets a rare stroke of luck and finds out that Jaimy still loves her and that he will be at the race track if she wanted to see him. But when Jacky arrives there she finds Jaimy in the arms of another. In a fit of rage Jacky runs away, and is grabbed by a press gang and forced onto a naval ship called the Wolverine. While on board Jacky finds out that she may be in more trouble than she realizes. She must quickly make friends with her fellow shipmates if she is to escape.

This was very good book filled with several interesting plot twists. My favorite part of this book was when Jacky was in trouble and her fellow seamen came to her rescue by threatening to mutiny. I recommend this book to anyone who likes good series, a touch of romance, and maybe even some piracy.
